Philadelphia is a bounteous package for tourists. If you are planning a short trip for 2 days, even then you can cherish the beauty of the city. This wonderful destination is full of historic sites, delicious cuisine, and cultural diversity. Within two days in Philadelphia, there is sufficient time to peer a number of the pinnacle sites.
However, you need to plan your short trip beforehand to cover the maximum attractions in a minimum time. Because your visit continues to be short, you should be aimed to cover maximum locations whilst maintaining geography in mind.
On day 1, the first stop should be Independence Visitor Center. This is the very place where the founding fathers gathered in 1776 to sign the Declaration of Independence. It is very much the place where the Declaration of Independence was created the U.S constitution originated. The free tour lets you stroll within the hall and experience the historical figures. Enjoy your lunch at Campos with Philly Cheesesteak. Head for 1740s Betsy Ross House where first flag of US was sewed. Ahead for Benjamin Franklin's gravesite, where the most notable person is buried and this site is loved by history lovers if time allows, go for Washington Square, one of the destinated place for picnic.
On your day 2, start from the Rittenhouse Square area. It is considered one of the best picnic spots for tourists around sculptures, fountains, benches etc.
Head for the magical garden, which is itself, state of the art. At your lunchtime, head for Reading Terminal Market, where you will find numerous classic food here.
Last but not the least; go to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. With more than 240,000 arts and a collection of 2000 years of human history makes, it is one of the largest museums in the country.
Do not forget to dine at Vedge. As per the hint in the name, most of the dishes on the menu are vegetarian.
